Lots and lots eagles migrate into Alaska towns in winter for food. The intentional feeding in Homer is even a hotspot for photographers.

Eagles swarm into Kodiak for food, too, though intentional feeding is illegal. Fish companies even take measures to limit their access. But sometimes the system breaks down.

This spells out a case where everything went wrong while highlighting the precarious situation any time wild animals learn to rely on people for food.

Hank, a very sad story, but it would appear as this was a tragic mistake and hopefully those involved learned the lesson to make sure future truck loads of fish waste are covered properly.

Yeah, covering has been standard around here for several years. I'm betting on citations and jobs over this one.
