Taken last weekend on one of my Farmer customers land.
Only road down just for a little look around and was quite surprised to see loads of Pinkfeet.
Decided to get out and approach on foot.
Took my bag hide along + smaller lens and body as I had know idea just how close I would be able to get.
They must have spotted me in my attempt to sneak along various hedgerows etc as they all got up.
Got to about the middle of the field down one side and crawled under a hawthorn hedgerow. It looked a great spot as I could peer out between the vegetation. Laid down and waited. After a few minutes the birds landed again but some distance away.It was quite exciting seeing them gradually come ever closer.
Taken with the 600 + 1.4 conv.

I really like this my only nit being that its a shame the lefthand goose didnt turn his head marginally more towards you.

That was my first thought as well, but I think the light is brilliant. I also like the way that the bg birds emphasise the flocking nature of geese but the fg birds really stand out well.

Never easy to get near the big flocks of these - the fields in north Norfolk are pretty open!!

Nice stuff - only nit (not your fault) covered.

Just to be different, the left goose's head doesn't bother me too much at all really as my eye is drawn to the goose on the right.

Nice lighting too Major - I like the image :toast:
