Hi, Michael, welcome aboard! Any relation to Jeff?
I really like the arrangement here of the three spires, and the touch of snow with the fog is cool too. A little more depth would have been ideal, but no control over that. Im no GOG expert, so maybe the real GOG gurus here can add their take, but it seems to me the strength of GOG shots in fog is the contrast between the red rocks and white fog. Here, the fog is more blue, which reduces the color of the rocks. If shot in RAW, you may want to play with a warmer WB.

Mmm, very moody. I like it.

Its a nice image, but I think a warmer color balance might help the image. You can try clicking the gray eyedropper on the fog in ACR to see if it picks a good neutral white balance. The composition is good.

BTW, I shot in the garden that day too.

I like images like this of GOG. The image has a cooler tones, but for me it works nicely. Welcome.

Stan, to quote Forrest Gump, "We are of no relation." I do have relatives in Greely, though not named Hackett.

Micheal, the GOG is so over done I really enjoy seeing fresh perspecetives like this. The edges look dark to me. I am with Mel and Jeff and would try different variations of contrast, saturation and tone.

Thanks for the warm welcome and all the feedback. When I shot this I adjusted the white balance a couple of levels toward the blue to try to emphasize the cold weather. Next time I'll bracket the shot.

My kind of conditions here. I think it's an excellent shot that is only in need of a contrast boost, make the fog lighter and the shadows a touch stronger. I wouldn't mess with the color balance, though.
