Lichens.....
40D, 180/3.5, A-327 + BH1, MF via Live View.
ISO200, 1/6 @ f11, Manual Exposure.
ACR4.3 + resize and sharpen CS3.

Hi,

A simple trio of three species of Lichen, it is always possible to find a subject that you can work inspite of the inclament conditions...

Grey dark and windy this morning so went out with the new 40D to try the Live View function  .

I really like this feature and makes the 40D an ideal close up/macro camera. Looking forward to using this feature even more...

All the best

Nice capture Phil.

The facility is even better with a decent screen

I really like this shot Phil, very very nice - the dark BG works perfectly to show off the Lichen.

Hi Phil,

Top notch shot as usual. Nothing I don't like about it.

Nice work

Best Wishes

Hello Phil
Excellent capture with a super BG. We have quite a number of lichens locally and I haven't even pointed my camera at them - YET! Thanks for spurring me into action.
Best wishes

Well that is a lovely shot, great texture an subtle colours; it would look great from a bit further away with a Crested Tit on it too!
