Beautiful shot Marc. Awesome sense of motion drawing the eye into this one. I do feel the upper left may be a tad dark, but just a minor nit.

Beautiful and stark and cold !! I agree with Bryan on the dark ULC..... what an awesome shot.

Can I say wow, I think I can! This is great Marc. I feel as if I am standing there with the drifts of snow passing me by. The ULC is a little dark but honestly does not bother me here.

Slightly brighter. Any brighter and I feel the foreground looses a little emphasis though...I might actually prefer the first version for that reason. Thanks.
WOW! love the feeling of emptiness here. The added motion is fantastic. I also thought the ULC in the original was too dark, but now see that lightening it doesn't help much...how about a slight crop from the top? I think that might add even more dynamism to the fg without having that ULC drawing much of the attention...in any case, another winner here!

I think the darkness adds to the sense of motion sucking you into this one, and I don't mind it. I almost feel myself leaning into the wind in this one.
I like the 1st one. The darkness creates more mood and a sense of isolation and contrasts nicely with the brightness of the horizon. Very nice. Still can't wait to visit the area some day. How do you like the new camera!

When you write "...as few will see it." you must mean it was windy as hell.
Where is the Alvord Desert? It's really comin' right at ya.

This is blowing my mind. Shots like this make me seriously consider just up and quitting my job so I can have the freedom to shoot when conditions like this occur as rarely as they do.

Marc this image portrays such a strong sense of isolation!!! Sure more "Marc Clouds" would have taken this over the top but even minus that I'm shiverin sittin here looking at it!!

Hi Marc.
I don't like the way the red clouds came out. Maybe it's just the small JPG, but they look like watercolored. Overall, however, I think this is one of your best photos. It is very unique and powerful, and I really really like it. Thanks for sharing.
This is a great photograph...I love the contrast between the cool colors and the hint of warm color at the horizon. The motion of the snow really helps me feel like im there....brrrr now im cold!

Funny how a photo brings back memories of another time, and thats what this one does for me. Nicely captured Marc to have that thought come back after so long. Cliff
