Howdy all! It's been a long time since I posted much. For that matter, it's been a long time since I shot anything! I did manage to get out the Sunday before New Years for a quick sunrise at the Flatirons in Boulder. Nice and chilly AM, but quite clear right at sunrise naturally. I decided to wait around for almost an hour, and let the sun catch the snow formations in the foreground, and glad I did, even if my feet were frozen by that point. I really liked this one with the sunlight barely touching the loose pieces of snow. Her are a couple more form that morning. Thanks for looking!

Brent Doerzman. Brent Doerzman. Hmm, the name sounds a little familiar...
Hey buddy, I think I like the sunrise light image the best, but they're all pretty nice. That's the cool thing, you've shot a trio of the same comp, but they're all different enough to be valid in their own way.

Hey Brent!
I think I like this one the best with the cool tones and lit edges of the chunks. Nice use of the lines in the snow ridges to lead to the flatirons.
The only nit I have is that the blocked out trees on the upper-mid left break the transition into the light on the irons, but that is pretty minor.
Good to see you posting!

Cool shots, the snow in the foreground would make some nice detail images. It kind of looks like sandstone in Zion.

I would just crop and show the snow foreground, that portion of the image pops out at you

Hi Brent,
Nice to see you back and I like your image. Please keep posting! I think I like the first one better than the other two

I really like the comp here. On my monitor, the trees don't have good light/color. Thanks for posting.

As mentioned, the leading lines of the snow ridges makes for a very nice comp. I'd like to see the trees lightened to bring out more detail, but I really like the depth that the sunlight brings out in the foreground.
