For those who plan to make the trek I will be in Lone Pine late on the afternoon of the 24th. Here is my cell# below if you care to link up during any time on the dates of the 24th late afternoon thru 27th early morning. As a backup to the Cell, it's not that reliable IMO, I will be housing at the Frontier Motel at the south end of town, and would also be typically pre-dawn at the entrance to Movie Road too. I will be driving a 2005 Ford Escape gray in color.
Hope to see some of you CANP folks there if you have the time......take care.

Cell - 951-315-1130.

Weather looks like it could be very iffy overall. I will still be there hoping for the best.

Thanks Paul. If I go next Friday I'll try to stay at the same place. Started a freelance gig today so I will know by next Wed / Thursday. I'd been wanting to get back up there anyway to get some whitney shots.

Sounds good Richard.
Keep me posted on your situation as best you can. If it is last minute and you can still make it on Friday you know how to get a hold of me, or just keep an eye out for my Ford Escape in the hills up there.

Thanks Paul. I was told I'd be going into the office for four days next week so we'll see if that holds up. theres a lot of deadlines. My Cell is (626) 422-6151 and I drive a silver Toyota Corolla. It would be awesome to get a Mobius Arch shot.

Hope you can make it too. Mobius is easy to get to, if you have not been there before I can show you.

what is up with NPN? took me like five min to get to this page.

yup, I haven't been to Mobius. The one time I stopped in the hills was on my way back home from Bishop but didn't know anythinga bout the area at the time.

I asked my boss today and found out I gotta go in on Friday. so I guess I'll try to get ahold of you on Friday for your weather report and see what hte road conditions are in the Cajun Pass the night before.

Paul,

It turns out I'm headed out to LA today for a business meeting on Wed and am headed up 395 to AH and DV over this weekend. I'll definitely keep an eye out for you and hope to meet up. I'll give you a call if that's okay.

Sounds good, John. The weather might be a bit tough, but one never knows until we experience it. Hope to see you there......

It's looking pretty iffy for me Paul....our current weather pattern is disrupting my work week, I may end up working on Sat. to finish my work. Time will tell.

Michael, I fully understand. I got a report from Cory just now that the AH's actually got snow yesterday. I was just leaving to head up there. So far no reports of chains required that low on 395, I hope that remains as I do not have any.

Snow in the AH?
Might be just right for some very interesting and slightly out of the norm photos!!

the possibility of snow there wets my appetite for photography. getting there is another story...

The Alabamas probably have 2-6" of snow this morning. We had 2" in bishop and I heard snow was down to Little Lakes. Should be a great day on Sat. as it will be between storms. I'm meeting Paul down there sat morning. Hope to see others too. I'll be in a green Jeep Wrangler with tan soft top.

Paul and others, I decided to head for Yosemite. Depending on how much stuff I get here I'm thinking of heading over to the East side for Sat and/or Sunday. I'll keep an eye out for you guys if I'm that way. BTW, I'm in a Red Jeep Liberty (squarish 2008 flavor).
