Very nice - works well in black and white. I would have been tempted to place the figure near the end of the trail of footprints but it still seems to work quite well to me. Might be worth seeing if you can increase the contrast of the foreground to see if you can bring out more texture. Tristan
nice idea, presonally i think the figure is a little too small, and the highlights in the sky cause the subtle tones in the dune to be lost. if you mask the sky, the tones in the dune leap out, ok you lose the shape of the dune, but you get what i mean!

Cool Jack, but agree that your brother could be stood where the footprints lead. Cut and paste him and see what it's like Also a bit dark for me and can't help feel a bit more and different processing could render a nice looking image. Jack with a human in his image...whatever next

The composition looks fine to me but the image is to dark. Would like to see a repost.

Good idea; a little more processing and it'll be a really nice image.

My first though as I saw the image was this is a bit dark. The composition is nice though. I agree about re-working the image to see if you can bring out the colours that are there.

Hi Jack,
The repost is a major improvement on my monitor. I can pick the details out much more clearly.
I originally view this on my laptop and it looked very much like the repost does on my desktop. I've just had a quick play around and here is what I would do personally. I've increased the contrast of the foreground to make the line of the dune, ripples in sand show up more. Then I moved the figure so that the lines point towards it. For me it makes a nice composition. Tristan

I think I can make out the foot prints now. Nice.
