Could anyone give me an idea what sort of price a Nikon D2Xs would fetch, in mint/as new condition with just 3.5K shutter actuations, UK purchased, with box and everything else that comes with the camera.
Thanks,

mifsuds and ffordes have got some for about £1,500
Don't forget though that they are retailers with tax and profit margin included. If I were buying (or selling) privately, I'd want to pay or expect to sell for a lot less than that

Justin,
Aperture are selling mint condition D2Xs with spare battery for £1550 (under 6000 actuations), so knock off the dealers cut probably reduces to £1100-£1200. must admit I am tempted to upgrade my D200 to a D2X/s as I am more interested in low iso sharpness for landscape work rather than improved high iso capability. what is your view on the D2Xs compared with the D300.
regards
John

Justin - not that I have the slightest intention of selling it - Bob Rigby quoted a buy-in price of £800-£900; knowing the way they work I'd say they'd stick 400-500 on it.
Personally I wouldn't sell it if I was you - not yet at least
John - I've now got both, and to be honest, at low iso I'd use the D2Xs EVERY time. Why? Because it's just so much sharper, and from the very little comp testing I have done, if you ask me, at 100 iso/L1.0 on the D300 the D2Xs exhibits slightly LESS noise
I wouldn't get rid of my D2Xs for anything at the moment.

Me also, i'd keep it, for 90% of my images i dont think i'd notice the different between it and a D300.
If your determined to sell it, i have a nice new shiney 50P here for you if you want to exchange

Justin think you might get a shock when you do get a figure. It would appear that there has been rather a lot of people trade in their D2X/D2X's for D300 etc and as a result lots are now offering only about £750 to trade in. Obviously private is the way to go to obtain more than this.

You’d have to prise my D2Xs from my dead fingers before I’d sell them. I’ll be waiting at least until the end of the year to see whether I’ll be changing my bodies. Once Nikon have sorted all the bugs out and released MK II version (maybe it’ll be called the D3s), then I’ll consider it. At least for now I’ll keep shooting with my faithful D2Xs that I have grown to trust. (It has become like an extension to my hand).

Sorry John, can't help you there. I know absolutely nothing about Nikon cameras (I use Canon myself). I'm just enquiring on behalf of someone.
