My first post
Hi everyone. My name is Debbie and this is the first time I've posted anything. I was in Rocky Mountain National Park this fall and absolutely had a fantastic time. I love elk, and they were everywhere. So of course, my first post is going to be an elk. Please let me know what you think. Thanks so much. :wavey:

I see that the one in the background has already changed back into a deer for the season. Welcome to the 'hood, Debbie! Check out the shindig page, if you're in Colorado.

That's a lot of rack! Solid - one might even say hefty - 6 points. Anywhere other than RMNP, he'd be an extreme rarity.

Way to keep the catchlight in the eyes on the exposure...

Welcom aboard.

Debbie - welcome to the group, glad to see your images. Nice work on the first elk shot. I like the fact that there are two (buck and doe); they are different sizes and different focus and their heads are pointing toward one another within the frame.

Looking forward to seeing more!

And like Todd said, if you're in Colorado, hope to see you at the Shindig tomorrow night.

A beautiful introductory shot, Debbie. That's one beefy bull. Gotta love RMNP in the fall!

Very nice, Debbie -- and he does appear to have a smile on his face as well! Welcome!
