Sanderling...
What do you think of this one?
I made it on Terschelling. I've got some pictures where there is only one sanderling on the photo but I liked this one more...

Sigma 120-300

Nice comp and a nice idea Sam, but I think I'd have gone for focus on either the left most or center bird.

There's a bit too much OoF in the foreground for me - the right hand bird is what kills it for me.

Bare in mind though this is just my opinion, it'll really work for others.

But as I said - a real nice idea all the same :wavey:

It’s a lovely idea. At first I wasn’t sure but the more I look at it the more I begin to like it. As Frederic said ‘Its an art shot!’.

Its a great idea and is so very nearly working... I know it may not have been possible, but the right hand OOF bird is causing the problems, had its pose been identical to the other three it would not be a conflict, I would perhaps prefer the magical three....but given the constraints etc I would have preferd the central bird in this instance to be sharp, but that is being hypercritical of an excellently convieved and executed image..

It's a sort of rule breaker, so I like it!

Inspired comp IMO. It would work at least as well with either of the two foremost birds missing, but they are there and I really like it as it is .
