OK, I know it's off-topic and not in the Rocky Mountain Region, but I think alternatives shake things up a bit and can provide some inspiration, even for shooting locally.
This is an avocado leaf, sitting on pahoehoe lava, on the windward side of the Big Island.
At the shindig I will have a sample of this image printed (via my inkjet) on a sheet of metal.

Dude, you've been all over the place lately! I hope you get a chance to relax at home some time soon.
This is really a beautifully simple image. Unfortunately I can't make it to the shindig tomorrow but I hope you have a great time showing off the print. Would love to see it!

Nice image. It will be interesting to see the print on metal tomorrow, as well as compare notes about Hawaii from my recent journey there in the past few weeks.
