Today was the first day that I have shot 100% manual with my D80... I had a lot of photos that didnt turn out... and I had a few that did. I couldn't be happier because I MADE these photos... not the camera. Anyhow... I just had to share.

Congrats on your milestone, Kevin. You can also make your camera do what you want it to using Av (aperture priority) or Tv (shutter priority), with a bit of exposure compensation.
Cant post in flora yet.... I have another shot that I took over there already. As to the Av.... I tried on a couple of shots but they were all washed out... I wanted a base line to see what I could do vs. what the camera would do.
I cant give John Shaw's books enough praise.... Im learning so much from them and then experimenting with my camera at the same time.
