With the weather being so crap i decided to visit the local park this morning, I found some holes in the bank next to the stream and waited to see if a water vole would pop out, but instead matey strolled out.

Great looking chap. A bit soft, could use a bit more sharpening imho.

As said looks atad soft. But thats easy to sort out.
IMO this would look better with a vertical crop, just to the left of the leaf.As i find i keep looking at the leaf instead of the subject.
Great shot tho

Nice habitat image with a good reflection-Needs more sharpening
I do believe a crop to a square format would work here, sometimes a central composition works (ask Danny), however the biggest problem here is that the subject just isn't sharp, is it a large crop?
The 400/5.6 is old school but still one of Canons sharpest....

I like this. Love the background and the reflection. Is a little soft and I agree with Alan about the leaf being distracting and would look better if cropped as a portrait.

Yeah soft as presented, but I like the setting. The ISO seems fine to me as you may well have a shutter speed of 1/60th... but if it was 1/1000 then I accept the
