My wife and I will be visiting the New England states, Acadia, and Nova Scotia this year. When visiting an area I've never been to, I've always found regional photography guide books to be invaluable. Can anyone recommend any particularly good ones?

Thanks

Richard....

As far as Maine goes, find a copy of David Middleton's "Photographers Guide to the Maine Coast". As far as New England, I think Middleton has other books about the other states.
About Nova Scotia I haven't a clue.

I don't have a recommendation for a book but on my last trip to Nova Scotia it's hard not to find any area that won't be a great place to photgraph... I especailly recommend Cape Breton Island at the very east end of Nova Scotia.

And be sure and take time out for the local pubs and the local music. :toast:
