I was just referred here and WOW super nice place. I haven't even had the chance to look around yet, but after this post I'm going to be stuck here for a good while. Thank goodness it's the week-end.
I'm in the Canadian eastern arctic, northern Quebec on the coast of the Hudson Bay at the 58.5th parallel. Short days in the winter and light out till midnight in the summer.
Here are a few of my shots for now. Just started this new web site.

Bienvenue a NPN, Andre, you are the third Quebecois here! But you're the first one from the North, so a special welcome :wavey:

You'll have a great time here ... hope we can meet one day in Nunavik :toast:

Welcome Andre. Glad you're here. You will learn a lot, but we are also looking forward to seeing your images as well.

I took my family there once, but it was in the summer. We flew up from Moosonee. Anyway, you can't say "Where no man has gone before." Even my 8 yr. old has been there.

Have you been to Nunavik and if so where?

Ed
I think I'm insane enough, probably to much

I don't mean the village where I live when I say "Where no man has gone before." I'm an extremest and seam to always try to get as far away as possible from here like almost getting lost at times. From dog teaming, white water canoeing, atving, snowmobiling, extreme off-road jeeping, maps, compasses and lately gps's and am still not satisfied. I've had a bad habit of scaring my family a few to many times. My sister is in Regina and she keeps telling me not to go out alone anymore. I could go on and on and on....... :jump: This is me.

Andre, I haven't yet been to Nunavik physically ... but many times in my dreams and as an armchaidr traveller :jump: I'm in Montreal and the furthest I've been north would be Matane or Saint-Edouard (Riviere Eternite along the Saguenay Fjord).

My dream is to visit the Torngats one day ... have you been there? You have some great photos from a place where not many people have been ...

Ashutosh

About 20 years ago I did la Riviere Saguenay all the way from LaBaie to the St-Laurence with my 16ft cedar canoe solo with a friend in his 16ft and it took us 5 days with a few interesting events on the way. Plus Matane, Saint-Edouard & Riviere Eternite as well. A lot of fun traveling. Lots of nice places to see.
