Tiger in the Grass
Shot taken at DeYoung Family Zoo in the UP of Michigan.

Bud DeYoung raises and breeds large cats in his Upper Peninsula Zoo.
This Tiger was hand raised at the zoo, and weighs in at around 350 lbs...
It's a very unique zoo, in that the school systems in the area visit
the zoo every spring to get a hands on encounter with week old Tigers, bears, cougers, lions or whatever else has arrived...

If you're in the area, it's worth a stop just to see these spectacular animals, and have a talk with Bud about his passion...
BIG CATS!!

Stay Focused!!

Sounds like an interesting place to visit. I've added it to my list of places to visit the next time I'm over to see the Green Bay Packers.

If you'd like to put the DeYoung Family Zoo on your "gotta see" list, here's a link to their website. They are located 15 miles North of Menomonee Michigan on Hwy 41, at Wallace Michigan. It's a great place for kids of all ages... (and photographers too)
