While Exploring the forest one day I came across this little gem.....
I liked how the fog was up in the back, giving the image some depth....
thanks for looking and leaving a comment....
Camera: Nikon D300
Exposure: 2.5 sec (5/2)
Aperture: f/9
Focal Length: 10 mm
ISO Speed: 100

Darren, to be honest I rarely comment in your photos because you rarely comment in others. If everyone commented in five photos for each post they made, we would all have five comments per photo. I very much enjoy viewing your photos, but feel that commenting needs to be more of a give and take.

Geez, that D300 sure does take nice pictures!

Sorry, I didn't get a chance to check this out until now... I didn't make it out at all this weekend - at least into the outdoors... Your exposure looks great as usual, and there is good depth to the image. Looks like a stream with a lot of great possibilities....

I like the exposure and your composition. The only thing I would like to see done differently is to have the ferns in the LLC a little sharper.

Darren,
I cant offer up any more critiques on stream images right now. I'm sick of them to be honest. If I commented, it would be negative...so I cant. Plus, you've not really shared in a whole lot of critiqueing my last 4 or 5 posts.

The wet foreground ferns help to make this shot. However, the stream going perfectly straight toward the background has less impact IMHO. I seem to recall from one of Galen's videos with Franz Lanting that studies have been done that show horizontal and vertical lines have much less impact than oblique angles.
