Four Male Cardinals
This is a shot of multiple male Cardinals. I had so many birds around the feeder during the last snowfall that they were flying in and out of photos. There were about 15 cardinals at one point but this is no where near the record of 35 that I counted about 7 years ago.

I just received word that my photo of a female Cardinal has been selected as Birder’s World Photo of the Week. Thanks to Jack Graham for suggesting that I send it in and others for suggesting improvements in the photo. Also my photo of a male Cardinal taken last winter appeared in the December issue of Birds and Blooms. I don’t really consider myself a bird photographer but my unusual location with a dark background of pine trees allows me to capture some nice photos when the snow is falling.

Phillip,

Congrats on the publishing of the photos! Wow 35 cardinals at one time!? I'd seriously start taking more advantage of the area you have. Nice habitat photo and send some of that snow down South! :wavey:

Way to go, Philip! I was happy getting one male Cardinal in a snowy tree this weekend, until I saw this image!

Congratulations on having your images chosen, Philip. I was wondering where all of our cardinals had gone!
