I hope you can all make one or more.

See the Events page for the updated list.

These dates are set as the baseline to enable you to plan around them and they are spaced around the country to give everybody a chance to attend one or more.

More events may be added throughout the year, like Focus on Imaging in Late Feb at teh NEC, so watch the events page.

Cheers

Hi Tom...
Its an interesting set of dates for the gatherings, and I am sure that every one will look forward to going on at least one, however I dont see any that are in the south or southwest of the country, may be some thought could be given to this in the future.
best wishes
Stewart.......

That looks a nice 'spread' Tom - certainly up for March and December at least

No Gannet trip?

FOI is a good idea, I was going on the Monday or Tuesday anyway - http://www.focus-on-imaging.co.uk/registration.htm to register for 'free' entry.

Stewart, Richmond is in the south however if you can suggest a venue in the south west i'll slot it in.

WWT Slimbridge is even closer, or a bigger challange would be WWT Llanelli, both easily accessable from the motorway systems

On a more serious point, if people want more regionalised meetings then some one local has to be prepared to put some time and effort to act as the leader for the day in not only "meeting and greeting" but also reccieing in the week beforehand to ensure that the event will go ahead as envisiged/planned. FWIW I sacrifice a days holiday doing the Welsh trip..... and therein lies the rub, this is all unpaid volunteer stuff. God knows how many hours Tom has spent organising the conference to ensure all goes smoothly

It would be dead easy for Tom to use a "scatter gun" approach and set lots of meeting venues and dates, but without someone prepared to "lead" it is pointless and counter-productive

To get this juggernaut rolling more people will have to volunteer to stick their head above the parapet and help out.
