Not too good at landscapes Guy, but I like this. Not sure about the bottom tree line as there's not enough detail but this monitor isn't great for shadow detail. Love the shadows cast :toast:

I don't usually comment on landscapes because I don't know what I am talking about, but I do agree that nipping a bit off the bottom would improve it IMHO, particularly the road.
Great light.

I like it as is Guy. I think the road at the bottom 'anchors' the image if you know what I mean?

What a place to live indeed - must be great to wake to a view like that in a morning. Love the light giving the hillside and mountain lots of definition and the dark sky makes the light more powerful. The road at the bottom doesnt bother me either. Nice. Tristan

Hello and thanks for your comments.
The road at the bottom of the picture is the edge of the lake. As I was shooting right from the other side of the lake. I must agree though it does look like road.
When I tuck this I had'nt really got a landscape in mind, it was all about man and the places we choose live in. I was really taken by conditions and the light that was breaking through the clouds, and giving this nice rolling light on the farm and mountains.I thought the Landrover was a nice touch being red and was going back to the farm. Which made me think of the hardship these farmers go through but life must go on no matter what the conditions.
Thanks again for your comments and thought I would add the idea about the picture. :wavey:

Lovely image. Crop the bottom tightly to the tree bottoms and it'll be better in my humble opinion.

The main thing going on here is the lovely symmetry between the line created by the shape of the clouds and the shape of the trees, which echo each other (but inverted), and also echo the shape of the hill ridge.

This is really well observed. Excellent stuff!
