Here's a couple of my latest ice climbing shots from a few days ago (Hidden Falls, RMNP, WI3+ to WI4). I figure that these meet the "Man & Nature" requirement for this "nature photography" forum. If you feel otherwise, let me know. Does anyone know of any adventure photography forums?

Nice Scott! I like the 2nd one best (facial expression, orange jacket, etc). Did you rap down from the anchors (tree) at top?
I assume in the first one, the climber is free solo'ing? Maybe a different angle to highlight that?
Looks like the Falls are in good shape! And I bet you all had a great day.

Scott – really great stuff! This reminds me of how I got into photography – I climbed and did a lot rock climbing photography.
I have not climbed ice, but hope to give it a try someday.

great stuff, Scott--ice is nice! Did you make it out to Ouray for the festival?

#1 would be better if you could see the climber's face with his right arm down. In general I think these types of shots are better if you can shoot from the climber's level or above (easier said than done).
#2 is good.
White balance would go a little cooler to bring out a bit of blue/cyan in the ice, especially in #1 where it wouldn't affect the climber's skin tones.

Definitely fits the "man & nature" part, I think these are both nice -- my preference is also the 2nd for the same reasons. I'd really like to see more like this, so keep putting them up!
