Just wanted to add my 2 cents worth to the discussion. I have Tamron 24-136 f/5.6 lens that I find to be excellent. It has become my 2nd most used lens (next to the Nikon 18-200 VR)
Just curious... Why have a lens that overlaps so much with your other one and is slower besides? I must be missing something about these lenses that I don't know about...
I can't speak for others, but there are times when I use two or three cameras and it gives me the option to cover different events with the same prospective.
Yup, really handy on fast shoots with multiple bodies. Heck sometimes I use 24-120's simulaniously on two bodies, but of course one is with strobe and one without, or one with pola and one without.
Even with one body, you'll bless a wide FL range in dusty country, that is unless you REALLY like sensor cleaning.
