Robert said he wanted to see more snow images, so here's one from yesterday.
Just for the record, we're getting dumped on tonight by lake effect snow...from 6:00p.m. to about 9:00 p.m. we got at least 4 inches of snow and it hasn't let up yet.

4" inches in three hours? What wimpy lake effect!! (Sorry, I grew up in Buffalo )
This picture makes me want to go walking in there. There is something red on the center pine which is really drawing my eye. Not real sure what it is, but it is distracting from an otherwise nice forest scene.

Nice! :) Toni could clone that out easy enough.. It's a mark to cut.. I can see why too.. You are lucky, Toni.. The west edge of the state has been getting dumped on for days.. I'm inland a bit and missing most of it.. Warming up this weekend.. Long walks are in order..

Yea, I know, Dan...4" of snow isn't much, but considering the lake effect has been dumping inland over the last 4 years or so..it's nice to see it land where it belongs.
You're both right about the red mark. I'm ashamed to say I didn't notice it until after I downsized the image...too busy cleaning up the twigs off the snow underneath!
Send some snow down here, Toni - we have plenty of cold but only a dusting of snow on the ground. Guess I'll have to find ice shots to take......
I agree with Dan - love to hike around in those snowy trees!

A good winter forest shot, Toni. No snow here and since I have to work for the next 10 days without a day off (tax rush), I'm glad there's no snow in the forecast because I can't get out to shoot Enjoy the snow for me!!! Oops...client walking in ...gotta go!

Nice image, Toni. Glad to see that you are out taking advantage of the wonderful conditions!
Now if only I could get in on the action. Four inches would be enough to occupy me for a couple of days......Wait! It's going to warm up early next week and that means no snow!

According to the local forecast, it's only going to warm up for a few days here, Robert. I'm sure winter will be back in full force before too long! Not only that...we've got about 2 feet of snow on the ground at the moment. It's hard to believe all of that is going to melt.

I should clarify that I meant it's going to warm up here in Indiana and there is only rain in the extended forcast. I'm typing on a notebook and they aren't very user friendly to me so I try to say as little as possible.
Glad you have two feet of snow on the ground, Toni. I have about a tenth of an inch. Though there does appear to be a very heavy frost out this morning so I'm going to try my luck with it.

Nice image, Toni. I really like the way the snow is piled up on the branches. You've captured a nice sense of depth in this one.
Sad to say we haven't gotten much snow here. Most of our lake effect is staying very close to the lake. Some areas up there got up to two feet while 20 miles south we barely got a dusting.

Thanks!
Robert, if it makes you feel any better, our temps are going to go up for the next few days which means snow melt..just when the ice was starting to form so nicely out on the big lake!
