Another from last weekend. It was the potential for the rising sun to light up these icicles that brought me back to shoot this in the bitter cold. Does it work without seeing the source of the falling water? I have other looser comps but I don't think the light is as good on the icicles. Thanks for looking and commenting.

Hey Rob, this works for me. I really like the icicles, they seem to be behind the flowing water.

Thanks Tom. The icicles are behind the flowing water, having formed in between the rock layers.

Rob, I like the warm tones of the rock in contrast to the cool colors of the water. Really good control of the contrast here and the icicles are nice too. The frame feels a little static to me with the strong vertical lines of the water and horizontal lines of the rocks. But that's just me.

Rob, I really like this. It makes me look twice to check out those icicles. I like the "peek through" effect and the flowing water versus static icicles works for me. Nice job!

Sorry for the delay in replying. Thanks for input. Any suggestions on making it feel less static? I'm going to Manhattan this weekend, and plan on going out at least once. I don't want to wish lots of snow on you folks in NE Kansas, but some snow would be nice to cover up the rocks again :).
