I've had several people recommend a couple of Fred Miranda photoshop plugins. One is an edge sharpener and the other is a user controllable velvia plugin. Is anyone here familiar with Fred Miranda and would you recommend any of his downloads? The sharpener is called FM EdgeSharpen PRO v3.0
Thanks,
Jack

I've used the Velvia PI and it seems to do as advertised.

I use the FM Velvia Vision and Intellisharpen. They're both great products and work well for my needs. I've used Intellisharpen for printing and that isn't its strongest suit. It's awesome for the web, though. Tough to beat the price for his plug-ins.

John,
you might want to check that they have been updated for CS3. If I remember correctly, when CS3 came out, the plugins were not compatible, but they may have fixed that by now.

If you're in the market for this type of plugin, you might have a look at the actions at TLR (The Light's Right Studio). He offers many things similar to what Fred Miranda offers. I use the sharpening actions and scripts, and they work very well.

I bought the SI Pro 2 plugin several years ago. I like it. It's great at reducing noise.
