Goldeneye
I was given a tip off from a friend about a place on Lake Geneva where the goldeneye are in good numbers and not far out as per the norm, I popped down for a recce yesterday and there were 150+ but still a fair way out so decided to go early this morning-It was freezing fog here today but after a couple of hours hiding under a bush i managed a few shots-Back tomorrow

Canon 1D3 + 2x F11+1

I Like this Dave, good viewpoint and the lack of a horizon makes for a great effect, the darker plumage looks a little blocked up but that is probably more due to the compression...

Hi Dave,

Absolutely spot-on! Love it! The lack of horizon as Phil said really does make something special.

Lovely image Dave, the lack of horizon works brilliantly :toast:

I think Phil is spot on about compression in the blacks losing the detail, but what can you do :frown:

Real top job :wavey:
