Stonechat (female)
40D, 400/2.8 + 2x, A-327 + BH1.
ISO400, 1/160 @ f10, no comp.
ACR4.3 + resize and sharpen CS3, full frame.

Hi,

Thought I would post an image of the Stonechats that I was heading for when I came across the Kestrel... amazed to get a few sharp images as the wind was blowing a gale across the marshes..

All the best

Phil

Hi Phil,

Very nice , the amount of detail you've managed to capture is superb, pose and comp are excellent , BG's very nice too.

Hi Phil,

Cracking shot. No nits. I'm having problems with getting sharp images in this wind too, so well done with this shot.

Hi Phil,

I've been trying for an image of a female that is wintering on the river/meadow opposite my home, got some record shots with a 300/2.8 last weekend thought about taking my 600 over tonight but the meadow is under water (about 4 or 5 inches) but could see her through the bino's. This stunning image will give me something to aim for next weekend if she is still around.

Regards

Rob

Nice one Phil. Lots of detail. In winter you son't see them much over here. can't wait until spring.
Well done.

Not a bad day then. It would be a good month for me if I'd got either of them never mind both in a day.
