Hi All,
Had an opportunity to try and capture a Female Stonechat this afternoon, I had seen a couple weeks ago on the meadows opposite my home. In all I spent 3 hours sat on the river bank getting little more than semi out of range record shots, then just as the sun was going down she came and sat fairly close (about 20m) and as luck would have it her chosen perch had the colours of the setting sun in the BG. I did have my flash and better beamer but the batteries had died and no spares in bag ( I know I have beaten myself about the head with my tripod already ) so think it could have done with a little fill but hey ho.
All comments welcome
Regards
Rob

Looks nice enough to me Rob - I wouldn't beat myself too much if I were you as the muted tones and colours look really good

Super little birds these Rob like the overhaul colouration of this image along with that perch.
No doubt it looks good with a bit more of the perch showing as well.

Looks a tad soft to me Rob, but I guess it must be me as no one else has mentioned it. Love the BG and perch

I like the background and perch. The muted colours on the Stonechat make the eye more prominent. Nice shot!
