Hi all!! Check out this website from Cambridge, MD of an active eagle's nest. One egg was laid on Saturday and they're watching for a second egg by tonight!! Enjoy!!!
I remember viewing this site last year and thinking that it seemed so early for nesting when in my area they only start hanging around the nest in February. When do they start up your way Hank? As much as I'd like spring to be here now, I'm not in a hurry for the warming trend.
If anyone knows of other wildlife websites with webcams, please post! I'd love to view more.

There were ospreys courting and copulating at Merritt Island today. Approximately 2-3 weeks early, according to the Refuge personnel. I agree with Hank.

Christine - The only webcams I know of are a few from South Africa. Not quite as up close and personal as the one you posted, but I've seen a few things on them...although I haven't checked them much since right before I took my trip there.
Not sure if it is normal or not, but along the Mississippi coast most eagles lay their eggs in January. The local news actually had video footage of an adult feeding something in the nest last week. You couldn't see the something, but I would assume it was a chick. BTW, it is definitely not Spring yet. We have had a colder than normal winter here.

Here is a grizzly cam from McNeil River. It is off-line now, but I watched a lot of bears fishing there a few months ago.
They typically nest here on Kodiak in May, but in Southeast Alaska I've watched them in April. Those nesting in the cottonwoods on our place in Colorado usually start in late March or early April.

They start sitting on nests around Ely sometime in March, usually, though unless it's a bitterly cold winter they'll hang around all winter eating roadkill and will sometimes perch near their nests in winter.
The second egg was laid yesterday!! Who-whooooo!! I was just looking at last years photos and they hatched around the beginning of March. So cool!!! If anyone wants to see last year's hatchings, go to (on same web site) Part III Gallery, pages 23 and 24 for the first one and then beyond.
Also, you can access an Osprey's manmade nest. The ospreys haven't started hanging around yet but you'll see eagles there and last year I remember seeing vultures and ravens and crows there as well before nesting.
