One from a session with these wonderfull little birds on Sunday.
We were hoping to get a few shots and in the end a pair of them stayed in front of us for 2 1/2 hours.
Will post some shots of the male in a couple of days.
Canon 30D
100-400 + 1.4x @ 560mm
Iso 200
1/500 @ f8
Full frame
Small read cloned out from bottom RHS
Nicely composed-the reeds in the background show habitat and are just enough OOF not to be distracting-nice sharp eye-lovely

I wish I could find some of these little darlings - nice capture and comp
It's looking a tad flat on my monitor though - maybe a touch of S/H adjust might just make it pop that bit more

Imagine this...I was sitting in a hide without a care in the world Sunday afternoon, as I walked back to the car I checked my phone that was on silent, lots of missed calls from Bob Hastie, he had been trying to get in touch with me to see if I was in the area as the Bearded Tits where showing big time....gutted.... what was even worse was I was only 1/2 hour away max
Cracking picture in cracking light

Hi Bob,
Were you with Stewart? Great shot, only ever had one opportunity and missed that.

What a cracking capture of a cracking bird (look forward to seeing the Male in a couple of days). Not one I've seen before.
