I spent this morning looking for these fantastic little birds, it was very windy and every time they appeared on top of the reed stems they would sway back and forward,so focusing was interesting!! but got a few good shots in the end.....

You certainly did get a good shot Stewart. Perhaps ovedone a bit with the strong colours, but a great looking image. Like the way the BG Reed stems are at the same angle as the bird.

Well worth persevering Stewart
Perhaps a tad over saturated but a nice comp and a great BG

Lovely shot Stewart
I had the same problem with the breeze, I felt like I needed a strimmer to cut all the reeds in front of the birds

Next to LT Tits they got to be top birds, nice capture and as aove love the angles matching.
Tad less on the saturation?

Superb shot of a real beauty. All the detail where it matters and nice background.

Well now and then every thing goes as you would hope, I think the colours that a few have remarked on are due to a low angle sun,and it was shinning full on the bird,I have not done anything to enhance the colour, and it was set on Adobe RGB in camera. Thanks for the kindly remarks...

Hi Stewart,
Cracking shot of a cracking bird - lovely colours and background (agree it is slightly over saturated – a minor nit really). Well done.
