I just returned from my annual trip to FL last week. I am happy with the images and will post a few as I edit them over the next few weeks. I wanted to capture a habitat shot with this image of a great egret which was also posted in the avian gallery earlier this week.

Nice image. The brightness of the bird contrasts nicely with the background and it is immediately obvious what you what people to look at.

If that bird were outside my door right now, it would be invisible as we're having some "winter warning weather" going on right now. I like it, it feels warm but mysterious due to the dark green bg.

I'm not sure where you live Bruce but we have the same winter storm warning here in the Dayton, OH area...really makes me wish I were still in FL.
Lovely image. I really enjoy environmental wildlife portraits that showcase the habitat a bit more. The current trend seems to favor long lenses and filling the frame with the subject, so its nice to see images like this. Very nice work.
