For those of you that are using Lightroom to manage your image collection, here's a free report utility, written by Marc Rochkind, that summarizes your meta data in more detail than what Lightroom provides in the Library module:
I ran it using a Lightroom Quick Collection to limit the report to only 1DsMk2 images.
Conclusion:
I had no idea that over half of my 500mm shots were with a 2x TC!
My AVERAGE focal length with the 500 mm was 821mm !
I can use this in a PowerPoint presentation to my wife to justify purchasing the new Canon 800mm !!
Here's an example of the output:
Sorry about the lack of formating - The forum software removes spaces ?? - but it should give you an idea of what is reported.

Bill ~ Pretty awesome! Being a little nutty about stats, I'm going to have to check this out....

Huh? I don't get it! I don't understand number that don't have an f/ in front of them. Or maybe 1/16 Secconds time recording. The rest of what you said went by me in all three lanes!

Sorry, James, the output is easier to read with spaces - which were not preserved in the post example.
The statistics are obviously overkill - but you might find something interesting about your shooting habits, and it can be run on any subset of images that you care to define in your Lightroom catalog.
For instance, you could limit it to your highly rated (5 star) images and see which lenses, focal lengths, or cameras were used to create these. Of course, this could create so much guilt that you would be forced to sell all the lenses that don't show up in this query.
Here are the column headers for each category:
Count by Focal Length (nearest 10mm)
Image count # / Percent of total images / Focal length (NOT lens - rounded to nearest 10mm)
Count by Make and Lens
Image count # / Lens & make
Average Focal Length for Make and Lens (fractions rounded down)
Average Focal Length / Make of lens used
Obviously most useful for zoom lenses - or determining TC usage on primes
Count by Make, Lens and Focal Length (nearest 10mm)
Image count # / Lens and make
-- for variable focal lengths it shows (indented with -- )
-- Image count # / Percent of total for the lens / Focal length for lens (nearest 10mm)
Count by ISO
Image count # / ISO
I limited my report to a single camera model.
It gets more interesting when multiple camera models are in the catalog.
