I think that would be a fitting name for a new microbrew this time of year....

A nice scene, but this comp isn't grabbing me as much as your Winter's Icy River shot. I feel kinda boxed in here. I like the colors and feel of the lower right quarter of the image, but the strong interest dissipates quickly as my eyes move up-stream beyond that. But if anyone comes out with that IPA, this would be a fitting image for the label - brrr!
Boy, I dunno, Darren. Maybe it's me, but I can't quite get with all the distortion in the bg. What I like best in this image is the colors in the rocks in the river and the water action- most of that in the bottom 2/3 of the frame. The snow along the sides seem to me to compete with the river's water flow. I like what you're working on, though, and applaud you getting out in all the weather to do it.

The snow is an interesting change, but the foreground here doesn't grab me as much as the Rocky Canyon River shot.

Perhaps the comp here is not as strong as Rocky Canyon River, but the foreground colored stones are interesting.

I would like this If the ground didn't show through the snow. I realize that this is all you had to work with. Cool shot though.
