Had possibly one of my best days. I'll post some better images i got, but i wanted to post this, as its my first capture of a mountain hare. Sorry its a little dull, the weather was overcast and the hares where in the lea of the hags to shelter against the strong wind.

Hi Paul,
Lovely shot with good exposure control for all that white, which shows lovely detail. Looks like the coat is moulting back to the summer. An animal I have never seen in the wild so thanks for sharing.
Regards
Rob

Indeed a special catch!
Love the whites and compliments for the great exposure control in this difficult situation!
Very nice..... I think you can push those whites a bit more to give the image a bit of a lift...
Like Rob, an animal we will not see in the south, so again thanks for sharing...

A splendid picture of one of our more rare mammals. I reckon the last time I saw one of these in it's winter coat was thirty years ago on Kinder.

Had a bit of a mare trying to get this brighter, and in order to try and keep the blueness of the snow i used a feature of PS i've not tried before, the colour filters. Added a 10% cold filter which seems of kept the colour after tweaking the brightness. Thoughts?

Hi Paul
Must have been a good day if you have better than this. I love the setting and prefer the re-post!

Hi Paul,
I think you've done well to push those whites without creating a blue cast. To my mind it seems punchier! I like it! It’s lovely when everyone taxes’ you isn’t it! At least you’ve tried something new in the process and in this case succeeded – it can only make you better.
