I'd like some feedback on this one. Compositionally I know I mucked it up! Should have shot with more DOF and not cut off the ends of the leaves. The stark differences with the leaves still having some vibrant color and the frost on the edges really caught my eye as this was just 2 weeks ago in Southern Illinois.

I can see what you mean and you did a fine job critiquing yourself.. Try a vertical crop.. A lot of the top, Just below where the leaves come together and a smidge off the right side up to but not removing the frozen holes in the leaf.. (Those are cool).. It drew the eye better to the leaf in focus.. It is beautiful!
I think the composition is fine - I have no problem with "cut-off" leaves since you were consistent on all sides. The DOF issue definitely does distract though. I would have tried a few shots of this too though - really lovely....

Helicon Focus? Might work on this subject if it wasn't moving!

I'm basically with CJ. I actually like the composition. I have absolutely no problem with the "cut off" leaves, and in fact, I think it's more interesting because of that choice. More DOF would probably be nice, as Jack said, Helicon probably would be been a good choice if there wasn't movement.
