Here's the next in the series from my AH trip with Paul. This is a original vert comp from the camera w/ slight crop off the bottom and rh side. Shooting vert is a departure from the norm for me nowadays. I think I'm turning into a pano shooter. That seems to be my vision currently.
I wish the lighting on the clouds and LP Pk. had been a bit warmer, pinker. But never the less I was very happy to get to se it and Whitney considering the cloud choked skies up the valley.
Do you think I gave the moon enough room or should I give it more?
Love to hear your thoughts on this. Keep it or round file it for better ones?
Check out Paul's image in ESS currently if you haven't already.

Hey Cory,
Don't understand why you would even consider the round file!!! This is certainly a keeper. For this web presentation, I think the positioning of the moon is good. If you were to print this and have a mat around it, I would consider a bit more room. But besides the moon, this is a great image. I like the vertical comp with the strong red rocks and sage as a base. The clouds drifting in front of the range is excellent.
An excellent vertical composition here, Cory. I find, as we discussed already, that I'm being a bit more selective on verticals overall. It is always best to shoot both no doubt, but personally I feel more comfortable with my own in horizontal.

i think the crop on the moon is a little tight but an excellent photo overall.
