Mountain Side Clouds
I think this image was taken in Arizona back in September. There is a lot I like about this one. The streaks of sunlight on the foreground mountain side, silhouette of the pine tree, dark cloud over the mountain and the sunlit thunder clouds in the background. Comments always welcome and thanks for looking!

David, you've captured an interesting and diverse color palette in this shot. A unique perspective and nice group of elements. It looks a little soft on my monitor. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks Wayne, the image is a bit soft, I should have sharpened again when I resized for the web.

David - to me, this is an interesting image. The thing that's interesting is that there seems to be 4 distinct elements - 3 of sky and 1 of earth. It's almost as if this image were composed from cardboard cutouts placed at different distances from each other gives it a sort of 50's kind of post card look. Pretty unique!

I've looked at this several times, and like it more each time. Tim's comment is a good one - it almost has a surreal look, with those interesting cloud formations. Nice work, David.

Thanks Tim for the comment. The telephoto lens I was using did a good job of compressing the scene. The different colored elements (cloud/sky) is what grabbed my attention for this image.

Thanks Bill! Had not really thought of this as a surreal image though. I since sat back and taken another look and I would agree with you. Thanks for the comment and pointing this out!
