We had a short break in the rain, so I finally had chance to get out for some "winter" photography this weekend. Keep in mind, the Houston definition of "freezing" is anything under 50 deg. F.
From a morning stroll at Brazos Bend State Park:
All were made using 1DsM2, 500mm + 1.4TC, ISO 800
This is my first otter encounter & felt fortunate that he took a look at the camera long enough for two exposures.

Ghost Trees - does this reflection work as an abstract for you ?

Bill, your wildlife pix are really nice! The abstract could probably use a point of interest? Excellent work on the WL pix!

Love the two Slider pics, the second one more than the first. I'm mixed on the Ghost Trees shot - there's something there or missing that's keeping me up in the air about it.

Love the teal shot. The water reflections are great and teal are such a dainty little creature, well portrayed.

Cool Otter shot! I'm sure those things are hard to get any shots of and you managed a really nice one. I like the first slider shot as well, its a neat perspective. As far as the Ghost Trees, I was looking at it an maybe its just a little to symmetrical and not abstract enough?

I, for one, like the ghost trees shot. It has nice colors and patterns. The first two wildlife shots are sweet too.

Well, at least one of you like the ghost trees !
I appreciate all the feedback.
I'm looking forward to getting back to Colorado full time, but I certainly will miss the wildlife opportunities along the Gulf Coast.
