It was a pretty dim day.. It had warmed and the snow is compressed.. A good day to reopen my trail thru the woods.. I went with capturing color in mind because a lot of winter seems so black and white in these parts.. The snow is like ice cream right now.. I selected and lightened the top part of this shot and touched it with a bit of saturation..

Hi Susie,
I love your splashes of color in your winter scene. We haven't had much snow at all this winter so everything is mud color and drab. I am ready for Spring!

From the base up, this could be fall. Nice to see the splashes of color this time of year. I'm with Deb. If it's just going to rain, let's at least have some flowers blooming. We've gotten so much rain in the last 36 hours that my neighbor's building an ark.

Big difference from what we're experiencing in lower MI today! We've had at least 6 inches of snow so far. Nice to see the colors, Susie!

I'm ready for Spring too.. Those oak tree leaves really hang in there! We are at the top edge of this last storm.. Funny how the last couple winters the southern part of Michigan is getting snow blasted.. My husband is in Tennessee near where all the tornadoes hit.. Weird weather! Thanks for the kind comments..

Not sure if I'm ready for spring just yet. I'd like at least a nice round of snow that hangs around for a few days.
T'he image is isn't really screaming out to me, Susie. Winter images are difficult to record, but it's always nice to be out.
Hope your husband made it through safe. The weather has been rather weird lately.
Uh oh, the spring fever talk has set in. I don't know about those of you a bit further south, but we still have another solid month of winter to go here in MN. I enjoy the soft and muted colors here Susie. It certainly reminds me of my home turf.
