This was taken while I was out with Rob on Sunday,I got dozens of shots of skylark, yellow hammer and even kestrel. This is the only shot I got of the corn bunting, they ran us ragged. When ever we got close off they flew.

Well worth the hunt - nice, intimate feel to this with the eye contact.

Hi Stu,

Great shot! Better than anything I managed with the Corn Buntings. Love the colours and the eye contact. Was this one after I left?

Regards

Rob

Really lovely shot of a very rare bird. Corn Buntings have been declared extinct in Ireland since around 2000.

I would be happy with this, as I believe they may be extinct in Wales now, too.:frown: Are they doing well in your part of the world?

Hi Stu,

Very nice capture! It was worth running yourself ragged for.

Lovely shot, you only get out what you put in, so it was a well-earned shot.
