Washington Field Trip
After introducing Darren to the upper Clackamas River a few weeks ago we took an afternoon trip to one of his favorite rivers in Washington. There was only time to snap a few shots but I could easily see why he loves shooting here!

Larry,
That water sure is green. I've been up there a few times and that it actually this green. I am having a little trouble figuring out the scale. Don't feel bad, I'm sure it probably just me.

Totally correct Erik. There's nothing in this shot to suggest scale except the pebbles in the LL-Center and from my vantage point on the a bridge looking waaaay down they could easily be the size of goose eggs. Just out of frame is a house with a deck over-hanging the river and a view to die for - or die looking at the same view forever.. depending how you look at things.

I like it Larry, but if I web crop off the very top so that it is rock/water/rock I really like it!

Larry: I keep looking into that nice, green water for a salmon, and the cascades on the other side are nice. Looks good!

very soothing image. makes me want to go see this place. I don't really see sense-of-scale as a necessity here, but you can get a reasonable sense of scale if you think about the size of the leaves probably are in the upper right, and the branches poking into the frame from the right. Takes a little effort though, so I prefer to just enjoy the scene in this case.

Nice shot Larry.
