Zion's Watchman
Its been a quiet week for photos. What happened? The weather has been reasonably nice. There have been some clouds or at least some spin drift in the morning.

Anyways, going back to September. I haven't seen a watchman photo like this before. This was shot well after the sun had set in the valley. I think I had to bump to ISO 400 to keep the exposure short enough so the sunflowers wouldn't sway.

Rebel XT, 10-22 @22mm, I'd guess I used a 2 stop soft GND, but don't remember.

Nice photo Mel.

I think many of us are dreamin' about Spring, warmer weather, etc...

I caught a cold which didn't help much. But I definitely want to get a second wind going for more Winter shooting while it is still here.

137 views and ONE measly comment? You gotta be freakin' kidding me! Is there a strike or a boycott going on that I don't know about?

Mel, I love the comp and the fantastic moment you've caught here. It seems a little flat and a little cool to me, but those are easily remedied, if you so desire. I'd warm it up and do a little curves work. But this is really nice.

Mel, I like this very much. A very nice "different" comp of The Watchman. I agree with Todd it does appear a little blue and maybe a little contrast to brighten the flowers slightly.

I basically agree with Todd, you might also consider cloning out the errant flower at the rhs.

Nice shot. Mel. I like the foreground flowers and the pastel colors. I like the inclusion of the moon too!

great scenery, I would agree it seems a little flat
