Hi Steve
As a purely abstract image, the general shape and textures are pleasing but it just doesn't really say 'seal' (or anything else, really) to me. I do think the texture of the coat comes out quite nicely in monochrome but the composition doesn't do much for me, I'm afraid.

hi Steve,
The composition doesn't quite work for me, i think a tighter crop, with the point of interest not quite so central may work better. The B&W conversion looks great to me though.
Cheers,
Dan.

Hi Steve,
An unusual image. I don't really know much about these abstract/arty type photographic images so don't feel I can comment, but if it was mine I'd try a different composition to gain impact and I'd also try to make the colours more punchy and dramatic whether colour or B+W.
