This was the 1st and last sighting of a Long-Tailed Tit visiting my garden.
Processed in DPP, edited in CS3, cloned branch going through tail and reduced noise in BG.
Canon EOS-1D Mark III
Canon 300mm f/2.8L IS + TC1.4x 420 mm
1/200th at f/5.6
+2/3 EV
ISO800

Nice image Nick, showing how useable iso800 is in the right conditions. My only nit is that there appears to be a blue cast on the image, something which is easily remedied with a little more PP.
Chris.

Looks a bit cold to me too, but it will make a lovely shot. I keep trying with these guys, but can't quite get it right myself. Well done. Eric

Hi Nick , I agree with the above comments , but it's one more shot of a Long-tailed Tit than I have , so a good capture IMO.

Hey up Nick so you managed to get it in focus then, using manual?
Good one, perhaps see you at Donnington Park in March.

Hi Nick,
Nice shot! It does appear to have a blue cast to me though.

Thanks all who have commented, I agree this image does seem to have a blue cast, I also took a pic of a Robin which had a Blue cast as well, maybe something to do with the lighting conditions? I was able to remove the blue cast in the RAW file so thanks for pointing it out.
Tim, see you at Donington I hope?
Cheers
