I have been hearing some poor reviews about the RRS (Really Right Stuff) L bracket for the D3. I have heard that it has been uncomfortable in the hand and poorly designed compared to previous products. I have always liked RRS products and was ready to order this bracket without even thinking about it. Has anyone tried it yet? Likes/dislikes? Anyone using another bracket that you like? Thank you...Nate

I just received the RRS L-bracket for my D300 and it's fantastic. The only negative is that even with the opening in the side, it's still somewhat difficult to access my D300's data/video ports. I can do it, but it takes some deft fingernail work to flip open the compartment. Definitely not a deal-breaker, since I don't access that part of the camera very often.

I'm not sure why and L-bracket would be uncomfortable in your hand. I hold the camera by the grip, and the bracket doesn't interfere at all.
