Day off from Work
Not many people take a day off from work to play. But a nature photographer understands. I did a little hiking and driving on Feb. 1st. This was on the Sangamon River in Decatur. People look at me funny when I get excieted about snow. As you know in the winter it gives you more opportunity to shoot. Maybe we can get some more soon.

Nice shot, David. I completely understand taking a day off from work to play in the snow. Actually, I intend to do the same on Wed. if we get the decent amount of snow they're predicting.

Thanks for sharing

Very nice shot. I'm surprised the river is where it is. Up here in Springfield it's flowed over its banks by at least a quarter mile. I'll post what it looks like here once my 72 hour limit is up  Very nice winter shot, though.

Glad you all liked it. It is amaizing how people react to snow. Some people cancell everything to stay inside. Others cancell everything to play outside.
As far as the river at Springfield goes I saw it yesterday going to St. Louis. It is high. I would be interested in seeing what image you came up with there Nathaniel.
It looks like you have had good ground cover for snow up north. That makes plenty shooting.

So how did things go Wednesday Robert? Did you get to shoot?

Nathanial, I remember you from when I was a member before. I saw you picture from the Sangamon. I will have to go post something on it.

I plan on being around here a little more. Nice to see some shots from our area of the county. Most people including me want to travel to other places. There are things to shoot here, you just need a different mindset. Just realize that there may not be as many opportunites, but they are out there.
