Just spent ten days in Scotland photographing Mountain Hares, at first there was a lot of snow around but it quickly melted with the mild weather that came in. This one ran straight past me and I managed to get a sequence of running shots.
Canon EOS 1D MK11, 500mm Lens, 1.4x Converter, F5.6, 1/1600, ISO 200.

Hi Danny,
Lovely clean shot here! Looks like you're managed to hold those whites well. Nice one! A nice natural setting and subject!
Nice one mate but it really could do with a lift in the levels... tried to post a modded version but everything dissapeared...

Hi Danny,
I agree with Phil here - I tried the levels and it looks a whole lot punchier.
As I said earlier you're held the whites well so you can push them more!

Lovely shot that is greatly improved in the re-post. Not in any great hurry, was he? Eric

Nice capture Danny, and the repost is an improvement, but not, IMHO, enough. Virgin snow is white, not a shade of grey!
I've had a play with the .jpg and it can be improved a lot more without loosing the texture in the snow, so you, having the original, should be able to do even better.
Sorry to be negative, but the shot is worth the effort.

I've had a quick play with the image Danny and have to agree with Ian that from original file you will end up with a very good shot.
