1st time to Antelope, what a great place. Highly recommend going this time of year, a total of only 3 groups of 2 in the Canyon when I visted last Sat, Feb 2, my group of 2, one group of 2 leaving, and only one other group of 2 in the canyon so easy to explore.
Had a mostly cloudy day so no nice beams of light, but still fun!

130pm tour, must have gotten there around 145pm, through about 330-400pm.... very accomidating guide!

That's a good composition Tim. Lots to look at. There are some areas around the top that appear to be blown. If you can reign those in, it would improve the shot.
This time of year, I wouldn't expect any light beams because the sun won't be high enough overhead to penetrate down into the canyon.

As I was about to write my reply I looked at Mel's comments. They pretty much sum up what I was gonna say word for word...very nice comp but a little hot up near the top. The crowds are definitely the price that must be paid to photograph the light beams in the summer.

Nice comp. I agree about reigning in the highlights. Good color, though.
Did you get into the Lower canyon. I think that is my favorite, especially if there are any crowds - they all head to Upper. Its interesting how different the experience can be between the two halves of the canyon.

No sunbeams, which is fine with me. I tend to like the rich color of the canyons. Very nice.

I've got a trip planned for out that way in mid-April (if I can't get a pass for the Wave). These shots make me itch for that trip!
